At Cape Academy, we aim to provide a home away from home for all our learners, offering a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive academically and socially. Our hostel provides comfort, structure, and a sense of community, helping learners achieve their full potential while fostering independence and responsibility.
Hostel Registration & Re-Registration Process
Please note: Both the learner and their parent/guardian must be present during registration. The deadline for submitting registration forms and fees is the start of Term 3.
New Students:
Parents must ensure all required documents, including proof of residence and a completed registration form, are submitted before registration. The registration fee is due by the start of Term 3.
Returning Students:
Re-registration includes submitting the updated utility bill, ensuring your current contact details are up to date, and paying the relevant re-registration fee.

Our daily schedule provides students with a balanced routine of study, recreation, and rest. Here’s a snapshot:

- Separate Dormitories: Well-ventilated rooms for both boys and girls, with individual storage lockers.
Study Areas: Quiet study rooms equipped with necessary resources for focused academic work.
Sports & Recreation: Access to tennis courts, sports fields, a gym, and a swimming pool.
Computer Labs: Equipped with computers for academic work, internet access, and research.
Dining Area: Clean and spacious dining hall where meals are served.
Laundry Facilities: Equipped with washing machines and dryers for student use.
Safety & Emergency Procedures
The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Our hostel has a comprehensive safety protocol that includes:
Evacuation Procedures:
In the event of an emergency, students are expected to follow the evacuation procedures and proceed to the designated assembly points. Regular drills are conducted to ensure preparedness.
Health & Well-being:
The hostel provides first aid facilities and access to a nurse for minor injuries or illnesses. In case of more serious health issues, parents will be notified immediately.

Hostel Code of Conduct & Daily Routine
Wake-up is at 6:00 AM. Learners are expected to make their beds, tidy their rooms, and get ready in an orderly manner. Morning roll call is held at 6:45 AM, followed by breakfast.
Breakfast: 7:00 AM
Lunch: 12:30 PM
Dinner: 6:00 PM
Punctuality is expected. Meals are eaten in the dining hall under supervision.
Evening study runs from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
This time must be used for academic focus; silence is expected in the study areas.
Tutors and mentors may be available upon request.
All hostel lights are turned off at 10:00 PM.
Noise must be kept to a minimum thereafter.
Learners must remain in their designated dorms unless authorized.
Show respect to hostel staff and peers at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of personal and shared spaces.
No possession or use of prohibited items (e.g. weapons, vapes, etc).
Mobile phones must be handed in by 9:30 PM.
Uniform and grooming policies apply.
Learners are not allowed to enter:
Staff offices and private quarters
Kitchen and laundry rooms (unless authorized)
Perimeter zones after curfew
